KROHN is a slow fashion start-up, working to have a sustainable business practice that respects people, society and the environment.
The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals are the world’s joint action plan for sustainable development. KROHN works actively and specifically with goals 4, 5, 8, 12, 13, 14 and 17.
KROHN transcends seasons and does not succumb to fast trends.
KROHN designs and curates essential, long-lasting and season-agnostic suits and accessories.
KROHN focus on universal design from suits to company platform and messaging – promoting equality and preventing discrimination on the basis of gender, age, sexual orientation, skin colour, ethnicity and religion.
KROHN suits can only be Pre-Ordered to avoid overproduction, one of fashion’s biggest problem.
KROHN encourages its customers to take good care of their existing wardrobe, to re-use and repair.
KROHN’s customer club, Claim Your Space is primarily about sharing facts about equality in Norway and internationally, and showcases role models.
KROHN understands that the clothing industry has major environmental challenges, and will constantly optimize and reduce the use of non-desirable fabrics and methods in all our production and offerings.
KROHN’s first suit edition is made in EU with a 80% Lenzing EcoVero certified fabric — a fabric that has been produced under a conscious and sustainable production. Compared to a normal viscose, the production of Lenzing EcoVero viscose has a smaller environmental footprint, and wood for production is sourced from sustainably managed forests.
Water and air: The fibers are produced with up to 50% lower CO2 emissions as well as 50% lower water impact. We also clean the water before returning it to nature. All this to help to combat climate change.
Supply chain transparency: Lenzing EcoVero branded fabrics can be identified in the final product, even after a lengthy textile production. Consumers can be assured that KROHN incorporates genuine eco-responsible viscose in our suits.
KROHN works solely with subcontractors who is/or are in the process of obtaining internationally recognized certificates for materials and production environments.
KROHN are in the process of preparing a Corporate Policy for Sustainable Development in 2023/2024, and seek to apply for membership in Ethical Trade.
KROHN is fully financed by the founder’s savings and has received no governmental nor public funding.
KROHN believes in partnering up. Our six partners and subcontractors are all led and run by female founders (7 out of 10 founders in Norway are men).
KROHN’s www.krohnsuits.com will also function as a future platform for curated, handpicked new talents and partners to display their products.
KROHN actively seeks cooperation to improve. We encourage people and companies developing relevant new technology and material innovations to get in touch.
